For the past 25 years I’ve been helping clients feel better and improve their lives. Through my work, I’ve also been a pioneer in one of the newest experiential therapies, cooking therapy. (I know, you just got used to Hot Yoga and Acai berries, but how timely is a therapy that also nurtures your body and soul!?) So many of us are cooking more, channeling our inner foodies, and at the same time, seeking self-help in a variety of settings. Cooking therapy just makes sense.
I see so many people trying to fill so many roles, and be everything to everyone; it's a clear ‘recipe’ for way too much stress and anxiety and disconnected relationships. And that’s why I’ve spent so much time developing this tangible therapy, training colleagues all over the world, and spreading the word.
After receiving my undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan and a Masters of Social Work from Fordham University, I became a Certified School Social Worker and then a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY and NJ.
